Musician Shakira Shakiraa has claimed that Phina Mugerwa is jealous of the current female musicians’ sexy bodies.
With the current flood of vulgar music and indecency in the music industry, Phina Mugerwa, under the UNCC, has taken steps to address these challenges.
First and foremost, they blacklisted Gravity Omutujju and Lil Pazo. She also cautioned female musicians about indecency and Shakira Shakiraa was among those mentioned. Besides one of her songs with Gravity, Doctor, was one of those pointed out as vulgar.
When the media questioned Shakira about Phina’s remarks, she said that she didn’t know much about the Bampasudde singer but decided to investigate her. She found that Phina wasn’t that angelic when she was an active singer; she was also indecent.
Therefore, she’s just jealous that Ugandans now accept sexy and erotic musicians yet they rejected her at the time she tried to do it.
“I think she’s just jealous of the young sexy and beautiful musicians. Apparently I hadn’t given her much attention but when I decided to, I found she’s not as holy as she claims to be. She was idolizing Colombian singer Shakira. Her dances, dress code, lifestyle, and everything weren’t that plausible. Rje problem is that she’s jealous because by then Ugandans didn’t embrace her but they have now embraced us and we are earning unlike her, she said.
Shakira also denied being indecent or singing vulgar music. The Ebiliko singer said that people have their way of interpreting songs. Therefore if they vulgarize her music, that’s not her fault.
However, the singer has been severally called out for her over sexualized performances on stage, music videos, and social media activity.
