Musician Winnie Nwagi might be a tough personality to please and by now Ugandans have surely learnt that she’s an unruly character.
The Swangz Avenue singer shocked many when she kicked away a 50k note gifted to her by a fan while performing.
The ‘Musawo’ singer claims this fan had disrespected her by throwing money at her. Nwagi told all fans who wish to reward her while performing to stand up, move forward, and politely give her the money or leave it if they can’t do it in a way she finds more respectful. She said that she can’t take such money thrown at her.
This is not the first time that Nwagi has been involved in heated arguments with her fans. She has previously beaten some fans for recording her underneath while performing which she described as inappropriate.
Even a few weeks ago, Nwagi threatened to leave the stage after some fans attempted to sing her songs. She told them to go and stage their concert somewhere else.
