Hon Muhammad Ssegirinya’s Mother Applauds Hon Mathias Mpuuga

The mother of the late Hon Muhammad Ssegirinya took it upon herself to appreciate Nyendo-Mukungwe MP Hon Mathias Mpuuga for being there for them during the tough times they have been through.

She said that the MP has been coming through to support them financially and emotionally all the time her son has been on his deathbed.

“Hon. Mpuuga has been there for me, he has always been coming to the hospital to check on me and Ssegirinya, he has been giving me money that I’ve been using to take care of my son – Hon. Ssegirinya’s mother recalled.

It should be noted that there was a power struggle at the burial site with Mpuuga’s forces clashing with those of NUP. The NUP foot soldiers ring fenced Ssegirinya’s body as Mpuuga wanted it to be transferred to the area playground for a proper send-off which Parliament had organized.

The former Leader of the Opposition too confirmed that he visited the ailing Ssegirinya about six times. However, he never took it upon himself to take photos while visiting him, a subtle dig he aimed at NUP.
