Kampala Central MP Hon Muhammad Nsereko has promised to thump Bobi Wine and NUP foot soldiers if they step foot at the last funeral rites ceremony (Okwabya Olumbe) organized for the late MP and comedian Kato Lubwama.
Nsereko remarked following the fracas at Hon Muhammad Ssegirinya’s Burial over the weekend in Masaka.
There was a lot of commotion with two grounds organized to host the burial ceremony. One was at the MP’s home where NUP affiliates convened while the other was at a playground in the same area. Nyendo-Mukungwe MP Hon Mathias Mpuuga was the one at the forefront in this other ceremony.
At one point, Ssegirinya’s mother was seen begging NUP pres Bobi Wine to allow for her son’s body to be taken to the playground so that he’s accorded a proper burial. Most of the family members of the late MP scorned NUP for how it stifled the burial arrangements for their family.
A fight even almost ensued between NUP foot soldiers led by Sauda Madada and Ssegirinya’s older brother. According to Nsereko, what was done at the burial is unacceptable and shouldn’t have been tolerated if the party wasn’t led by hooligans.
He has now warned that if they dare step at Kato Lubwama’s funeral rites which is slated for the 17th of this month, he will teach them an unforgettable lesson. Nsereko went as far as condemning President Museveni for this wanton behaviour in politics.
