Police Finally Clears King Saha's Concert After Much Speculation

The Uganda Police has finally given clearance to King Saha’s concert slated for tonight 24th January at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

News surfaced that the Uganda Police had cancelled the concert over several issues more so structural issues which they said were a danger to revellers.

However, the concert has now been given clearance after much deliberation. According to the Police, they held a meeting with the event organizers and venue managers to determine the way forward in regards to safety measures.

After this meeting, the event has been cleared to proceed as earlier scheduled. However, the use of the pavilion at the event won’t be used due to the ongoing work.

“STATEMENT REGARDING THE HALTED MUSIC EVENT AT THE CRICKET OVAL IN LUGOGO

  1. On January 23, 2025, the Uganda Police Force halted a local music event planned for January 24, 2025, organized by Mr. Galabuzi Denis Benon of Umoja Management LTD.
  2. Today, a joint security team, along with the event organizers and venue managers, have met at the cricket oval to re-evaluate how the event can proceed while adhering to previously recommended safety measures.
  3. Following this meeting, it has been decided that the event will take place as scheduled at the cricket oval, however, use of the pavilion will be strictly PROHIBITED due to its structural condition, which poses a risk to revelers.”

It’s important to note that despite this hiccup, the ‘Zakayo’ singer seemed unbothered. He was very sure that the concert would go on as planned and he kept on urging his fans to come as early as possible because nothing was going to change.

Several singers such as Sheebah Karungi, Spice Diana, A Pass, and above all, Bobi Wine have already drummed support for the singer who is expected to give an unforgettable concert.
