It’s now official that singer Ibrahim Mayanja aka Big Eye is going to contest for a Parliamentary Seat in Nansana Municipality. Big Eye had a few days ago expressed his interest in running for the legislature.
And now he has confirmed it and even released his official campaign poster. However, this seat seems like it will be a hotly contested one as NBS TV presenter Zambali Bulasio Mukasa has also expressed interest in the same seat. These however will have to first get nomination for the flag bearer of the National Unity Platform, NUP.
Taking to his social media pages, the “Husband Material” singer said that his president, Bobi Wine, inspired him because when he speaks, it’s a command.
“The voice of the people is the voice of God. When my president H.E. Robert Kyagulanyi speaks, it is a command. Nansana Municipality your dedicated servant for the 2026-2031 term is here. Together we will build a stronger future.

Another person who has surprised people in the upcoming general elections is the chief foot soldier, Saudah Madada. Madada has also revealed that she’s going to contest for the woman lord councilor for Kampala Central.
