However, for many young adults today, it seems to have evolved into something more: an unofficial dating platform.

While apps like Tinder and Bumble continue to dominate the online dating scene, Snapchat has quietly become a space where casual flings are being made.

Socialite and media personality Sheilah Gashumba has weighed in on this trend, expressing concern over how the platform is being used.

According to her, Snapchat has become a hub for infidelity and hookups.

She believes many men use the app mainly to cheat, and nude videos are frequently shared under the guise of “streaks.”

Because of this, Sheilah says she cannot date a man who actively uses Snapchat or one who constantly posts every moment of their life on the app.

“I need someone who is really private,” she emphasized, concluding that she has outgrown attention-seeking behavior, especially in relationships.
